Capital Girls Basketball Records - JV: 0-2 Varsity: 2-0
Capital Boys Basketball Records - JV: 0-0 Varsity: 0-0

Okay, well I've seen two games of both girls teams (Stonewall and Capital) and the SJ girls are actually WORSE then what I had originally thought..They got walked all over by Dupont, and lost to Horace Mann, they are 0-2 already!! The boys Stonewall team played and I think they will be excellent. I am predicting a 1 MAYBE 2 loss season for them. If they get a second loss, it will be for the championship.

The Capital Girls however have trampled on both of their opponents, outscoring them by a phenominal 131-83. GW got beat by 22 58-36, and Nitro just loss to them tonight by a final of 73-47. 26 more points. They will get at least to the state tournament, but I think that they will ger outcoached somewhere during the tournament and take a final loss.

Basketball Season is almost among us..The first game is on Thursday. It's Stonewall vs. Cedar Grove at Cedar Grove. The team for Stonewall this year really worries me. They are just too goofy and don't want to practice. They will not win the championship this year because of this. Here is my prediction for the Stonewall girls team: they play 16 games this year..I think they will go
7-9 maybe 8-8. I'll post my prediction for the Capital teams after I have seen them play.

Homecoming Results:

Homecoming Queen: Jerricka Hall
Homecoming King: Josh "Cookie" Miller

I personally was vowing for Alex Ashley to win King and Elizabeth Yeager to win queen. I got them both wrong. I told my friend Artisha that I hope Alex gets it, but I'm pretty sure that Cookie will get it. Naturally I was right. Unnaturally, however I was wrong when the queen results came. I didn't think Jerricka Hall would win, no offense Jerricka if you ever read this. oh well..Back to the old drawing board...

Hell yeah!!! First Band COmpetition came and went and we came out of it with the huge trophy!! That's right, GRAND CHAMPS! It was scary too. They went through the preliminary awards and we got 2nd Place in most of them behind Spring Valley. Auxillary got 2nd, Percussion got 2nd, Feature Twirler got 2nd, even Andrew (Drum major) got 2nd. Then we hit the band award and creamed Spring Valley. They got third and we took first. Then we grabbed Best Show Design and made the climb up the ladder. The announcer announced 2nd Runner-up and it was Spring Valley. The parents groaned and thought we got shut-out. 1st Runner-up: Hurricane. After this we knew it was in our hands. We could almost feel the trophy. Grand Champions of the 2004 Cabell Midland Band Festival: Capital! It was sweet. Check out the Band Page to see an updated list of the year's statistics. I have a good feeling about this year...not only for the band, but our football team too.

Later today...
I got pictures from The band competition...I'll have them up soon on the pictures section. Hopefully before the end of the week...no promises though. I have a very VERY busy week ahead of me. Anyone who cares: Megan and I are doing very good. We rode the bus on the way home together and we talked, then she slept on my shoulder...it was just like the first day of band camp. I love her so much. Anyway, getting back on topic, the pictures will be up very soon.

God I love bus rides home! The only thing better then bus rides home, is spending them with the love of my life, Megan. The bus ride home was perfect. For more details please refer to my journal entry dated today. BTW, Capital lost last night and dropped again. We are now 5-2 and are looking at an away game for the first playoff game. That would be super!!
